About Camp Vet Med

Camp Vet Med offers a unique half-day summer camp experience, bringing together participants in teams led by their two enthusiastic camp counselors, camp director Sarah Parsons, and volunteers! The event kicks off with a lively gathering where teams engage in ice-breaking activities, coming up with a team name, and collaborating to design their team flags. Throughout the day, attendees participate in a series of engaging camp and survivor-like activities, all with a veterinary medicine twist! This immersive experience provides conference 

participants with the opportunity to forge strong bonds, cultivate new friendships, and deepen personal connections before the convention begins.

The next Camp Vet Med is January 24th, 2025 from 9am-2pm at Dr P. Philips Park in Orlando, Florida! (The day before VMX Veterinary Conference)

There is a registration fee of $25 to be paid via PayPal to campvetmed@gmail.com at time of registration. 

Please plan to provide your own transportation to & from the event. 

Yes, this event is exclusive to those in Veterinary Medicine! 

(Veterinarians, Practice Managers/Owners, Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Client Service Representatives, Kennel Staff, etc)

To participate in Camp Vet Med, you must be 18 or older

Clothes: Please plan on wearing light, weather-appropriate comfortable clothes. (i..e: tank top/t-shirt, tennis shoes, and athletic shorts) 

*Be prepared to get messy!

*Swag bags, T-shirts and bandanas will be provided at the start of the event* 

Bathrooms are available on site to change in.

Please Bring: 

• Water Bottle
• Sunscreen/Bug Spray
• Hat (optional)
• Small towel (to sit on or in case of getting wet)
• Current form of ID
• Any medications/dietary needs

Light snacks will be provided during the event, and 1 lunch meal will be provided.

There are some games/activities more physical than others. Consider the intensity of normal summer camp games (Tug-o-war, Relay Race, Hula Hooping, Capture the Flag, etc). 

*Although a large portion do involve physical activity, you always have the choice to participate or not in said activities. There are also portions of the competition that do not require athleticism. 

We highly recommend NOT participating if you: 

• Are pregnant
• Have injuries 
• Are feeling sick/ill
• Have back/heart or other serious conditions

IF the venue is public park, pets are allowed. But consider that having a pet will be difficult to manage while doing the activities and you are responsible for your own pet.
